Watch: #YouAreNotAlone - PSA - UK Says No More x 16 Days 16 Films

The You Are Not Alone video was produced by 16 Days 16 Films for UK Says No More, and directed by last year’s competition winner, Myriam Raja*, the BAFTA-nominated writer and director of Third Sorrow and Azaar.

The purpose of the film is to both speak directly to victims of domestic abuse, and raise awareness for the issue more widely. The aim is to show the multitude of people and organisations who are here for victims and their families, for support in all ways - practically, emotionally, and legally: you are not alone.

Often victims face huge barriers when attempting to leave an abusive relationship - their abusers will often use many different forms of leverage to coerce them into feeling like they cannot leave or will be in a worse situation if they do: control of finances, threats against children or pets, threats against their life, employment etc.

The You Are Not Alone campaign seeks to communicate to victims - and friends and family of victims - that there are people and organisations who are there for them, every step of the way, to keep them and their loved ones safe.
